FF Blog 14: How Do I Transfer to The Fostering Team?
There are many reasons why you may be thinking about transferring to a new foster agency. You may be moving house, or be unhappy with your current agency, or perhaps you are looking for a new challenge. Or maybe you don’t feel that the support, training and financial rewards you currently receive meet the costs of what you put into fostering.
If you’re discontent with your current fostering agency or wish to find out more about the huge range of benefits and personal, dedicated support that The Fostering Team offer, we aim to make the process of transferring to us as easy and seamless as possible.
Why Change Fostering Agency?
There are lots of Reasons why people choose to join The Fostering Team. We go to huge lengths to ensure that our specialist therapeutic approach to fostering is amongst the best in the country. Our team of experts have many year’s experience in the fostering sector, and are all very personable and friendly, where everyone gets to know you and your family on first name terms, and we provide our Foster Carers with excellent training, support and allowances.
We are always interested to work with Foster Carers that want to develop and improve their skills and experience to fostering and ultimately give children and young people in their care the best possible life-long opportunities. At The Fostering Team, we’re not like other fostering agencies – we truly believe that every child is unique and our specialist therapeutic approach enables us to recruit, train and develop our Foster Carers to better understand children and young people in their care, relate to their evolving needs to enhance and change their lives.
Don’t worry, transferring to The fostering Team won’t affect the children
If you have a foster child/children staying with you at the time of transferrin the priority will be to make sure the transfer doesn’t disrupt or impact on their care. Within 28 days of starting the process, a ‘protocol’ meeting will usually take place where the Local Authority of any children living with you will meet with you and a member of The Fostering Team to discuss what effect the transfer will have on their stability and welfare. You will then move on to the assessment process with us.
